Sa-da-kO Coming Out Of The Void

The photographs from the Sa-da-kO shoot are now up on their Facebook.

Sadako band photography portrait photographyI had stopped pursuing band photograph previously because 1) there’s no money in it 2) I thought it was limiting. Recently though I have been having ideas for model shoots but nothing that really suited the average model plus it was a lot of faff (and possible expense) to sort out a model myself. Sa-da-kO contacted me for a photo shoot and the idea just clicked. Here are the results. If more bands are willing to put up with me ordering them around then I’ll do a shoot at a cut down price.

Population Four Had Their Final Gig

After Simon left Population Four the future seemed very uncertain. All the band members seemed so close it was impossible to imagine anyone else filling the drum stool. As of today that uncertainty has ended for the worse with the announcement that Population Four is to disband. I’ve been photographing them for years but now it’ll be no more. This is another blow for Preston after last month with March and Stormcorporation also calling it a day.

Now I Have No Excuse To Be A Shut In

Got myself a shiny new Samsung Galaxy S2 recently. As expected I’ve been giving the camera a good go as well as the apps. One thing small cameras, especially mobile phones fall down on is low light performance. I’ve just taken some pictures at a gig (and uploaded it hear while still at said gig) and I must admit they’re not too shabby at all.image
