I’d just got hold of some Kentmere 400 film and thought I’d give it a try especially with pushing it to ISO 1600. I haven’t done a gig in a while so it seemed a good opportunity. This time I had the Nikon FM with F/1.4 lenses at my disposal. Unfortunately the day before my 50mm F/1.4 broke and was stuck at F/1.4. I decided to use my 85mm F/1.4 instead so I could use some flash as well.
Yesterday I learned of news that the Ship Inn in Preston has suddenly cancelled all of Ready To Rumble Unsigned gigs with immediate effect. Working with Rock On Promo they had gigs booked up every 1-2 weeks for more than 3 months ahead. Something similar happened last year but that was repealed a few months later. That time the Ship Inn went back to doing gigs at the Ship Inn again however this time round it looks like a case of once bitten twice shy. This saddens me because it was a favourite haunt for me and it is where I cut my teeth as a gig photographer for two years. There is some hope because today people gathered together to create a Facebook page called Save Our Scene (SOS). As of now it is very quickly gaining likes.
Something a bit different from JAG Photography this time. I was asked to take photographs at the Sparkle Lounge in Lancaster. See the pictures here.
