Studio Shooting

Yesterday I did a studio shoot with the Preston Photographic Society with a volunteer model for the evening. One of the guys brought a black background and 4 fancy studio lights with large soft boxes to the scene.

The lighting was rigged up to give the right exposure at F/11 ISO 200 (or F/8 ISO 100). Everyone else brought their DSLRs so everyone’s images would have been pretty much fully sharp all the way through. Just to be really awkward I brought my Pentax 67 medium format camera instead. With it’s narrower DOF at the same aperture as everyone else’s DSLRs mine had to be focused just right. Continue reading

Sony Camera Talk

Just come back from the Preston Photographic Society weekly talk and this one was a bit special. The guys from Wilkinson’s Cameras and a Sony representative were down to show of some new gear.
