Did a model shoot at Preston Photographic Society today. Couple of lights, black background and a model. Oh and my Pentax 67. If you’re going to the effort of faffing with lights ect. then might as well bring out the big guns. Check them out on the Google+ page.
Yesterday I did a studio shoot with the Preston Photographic Society with a volunteer model for the evening. One of the guys brought a black background and 4 fancy studio lights with large soft boxes to the scene.
The lighting was rigged up to give the right exposure at F/11 ISO 200 (or F/8 ISO 100). Everyone else brought their DSLRs so everyone’s images would have been pretty much fully sharp all the way through. Just to be really awkward I brought my Pentax 67 medium format camera instead. With it’s narrower DOF at the same aperture as everyone else’s DSLRs mine had to be focused just right. Continue reading →
